Time-dependent behavior of NSM CFRP-strengthened RC beams under different service temperatures

The use of fiber reinforced polymer (FRP) for flexural strengthening concrete (RC) beams has become a popular technique. Significant amount work is available on the short-term behavior RC strengthened with near-surface mounted (NSM) However, their time-dependent behavior, specifically under high service temperature, not yet been addressed. This paper presents an experimental to evaluate NSM carbon FRP (CFRP)-strengthened beams. program included 23 beams, where effect different parameters such as (CFRP) area, steel reinforcement ratio and applied temperature (20 50 °C) have considered. Experimental results show that area significant response while minor effects are found deflections. On other hand, increasing no tests, but it produces large increase in deflection specimens. Finally, analytical procedure prediction deflections, which based age-adjusted effective modulus method (AEMM), presented. Good agreement between predictions deflections shown.
